TEA WITH JANE

This is a stunning handmade book. It took me several days to create it. I collected 13 recipes from the Regency area, taken from Ms. Rundell's Cookery Book, Jane Austen's novels and adapted to our day.
You have extra pages to write your own recipes, and notes.
If you want to have a true tea as Jane Austen used to enjoy, please give you the gift of treasure this book. Every page is a surprise, a jewel, with handmade drawings designed and made by the Three Hares, cutouts from the period and cites from the Jane's letters and stories.
A unique piece for a Jane Austen's fan.

THE EYES OF A TIGER

I have never thought that scratch board could be so much fun. I really enjoyed working for the very first time with this technique. This work is not done, I have to fix the size of the eyes, and add more highlights, but I want it to share.

YOUR MAJESTY

I guess that I will go  a bit more with the mane, but not too much, I prefer to have the idea of something light and ethereal.

I like working with it and I will try to do some more, I haven't decided which animal yet.
Original and prints available upon request.

My new adventure

I guess that we start thinking about what we have accomplished in our lives, when we are undergoing harsh times.
I have always loved teaching, which I still do. But when you are mistreated and diminished as a professional, things need to change.
Thinking about how I could have stopped painting, I could not find any reason, just I did not have the desire, and I needed a full time job to survive.
But it has come to a point in my life that I will go on working but giving my time to paint and draw, and see if I can start my formal artist career which I have left aside so many years ago.
During this holidays, I started doing what I knew to do: painting roses, and I did it, I liked it and enjoyed.
Now I decided to try something different, something who has captivating me for a long time but thought I wouldn't have the ability to do it.
Drawing and painting wildlife. To be honest with you, I did it some years ago, but looking back in time, and objectively, they were not good.

This is my new try and so far I like it. I thought of keep on working and try to convey the realism needed, but I like it like this, of course I will add the mane, but I do not want to overdo it, and besides there are so many awesome  wildlife artists around, that I need to do something my way, my style.
Hope you like it. The work is in progress and I will post pictures when it is finished.
